Dr. Yves Geysels

 

Yves obtained a PhD in Physiotherapy from the Free University of Brussels in 1990 where he worked on experimental animal models to study the vascular regeneration processes in free skin grafts. He joined in 1991 the Clinical Research department of Hoechst Belgium (which later became Aventis) and from 1998 until September 2001 he worked as a Clinical Trials Manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb Belgium.

 

Till December 2011, Yves was Head of International Clinical Research Operations in Belgium and Poland for Novartis Today he is Senior Director Clinical Operations, Head of Clinical Site Monitoring, at Quintiles Belgium. To date, Yves is a member of the board of directors of the European Forum for Good Clinical Practice (EFGCP) and is the founder and current president of the Belgian Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP.be). He is visiting professor of Clinical Research at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Namur and was elected as Fellow of the department of physiotherapy at the Free University of Brussels (VUB).

 

His hobbies includes skiing, cycling and swimming.
